1. Tell us about your career to date:
I’ve spent the last 17 years working in Management and Operations with a big focus on customer relationship management and after sales care. During my time in the manufacturing industry, I was responsible for the management and training of apprentices and prepared them for trade qualifications.
2. What inspires you about the Vocational Education and Training sector?
Having come through the VET sector for my earlier Trade and Diploma qualifications, I understand the complexities of the industry. I found that robust systems need to be implemented and sustained to enable ongoing quality training to ensure the long-term success of the Australian VET sector.
3. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn a second language and this is on my ‘to-do’ list. I’m drawn to Spanish as a second language of choice, possibly because I have a few friends in Brisbane who are Spanish born and speak fluently.
4. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Anywhere that I haven’t already been. Travelling has always been a big part of my life, and I will never get bored of checking out new places. That being said, I would happily spend some more time in New York and Berlin as they’re my two favourite cities. If you ever get the chance to head to New York in their winter I highly recommend ice skating in Central Park!
5. What’s your favourite activity?
Exploring, so whether travelling overseas, finding a local waterfall, or going for a hike, I’m up for it all.
6. What is your personal philosophy?
Find what you love, and do it with passion.
7. Tell us something that might surprise us about you:
I’ve personally built myself several motorhomes over the years but never had the opportunity to use them.
8. What is online assessment to you?
Online Assessment and more specifically, Cloud Assess, aligns to how students and assessors want to work in today's society. As a platform it complies to the principals of assessment and rules of evidence providing RTOs with a flexible solution to author and conduct assessment anywhere and anytime.
9. What's your favourite feature in cloud assess?
I think ‘Workflows’ can have such a positive impact for RTOs. By automating processes such as, notifications for assessment completions or overdue assessments, student enrolments into new units, second attempts, etc., removes the burden of manually managing all these processes and ensures accuracy and consistency.
10. What’s the best thing about working for cloud assess?
The Cloud Assess staff make this place amazing.
